Firefighters from Saltash Community Fire Station dealt with a fire in the bedroom of a home in Alamein Road yesterday evening (April 6).

They called for help from colleagues in Plymouth.

The property was a two-storey end-terrace home. Crews used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hosereel to put out the fire and used positive pressure ventilation to clear the smoke from the bedroom.

The occupants were unharmed.
