OFFICERS are seeking witnesses and information after two people were injured in a motorcycle collision at Connor Downs in West Cornwall.

Emergency services were called to Gwinear Road at around 2.45pm yesterday (Sunday, August 16 ) following a collision involving a black Yamaha motor tricycle. The vehicle left the carriageway and came to rest in a nearby field.

The rider, a man in his 60s, sustained serious injuries and remains in a critical condition at Derriford Hospital. The passenger, a teenage girl, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Treliske Hospital. Both are from the Camborne area.

Devon and Cornwall Police’s Roads Policing Team closed the road for over three hours for investigative work.

A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing, and officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage.”
