A cow weighing around half a tonne had a miraculous escape after a 75ft fall down cliffs at Lower Boscaswell, Pendeen shortly after midnight this morning.

Firefighters rescued the animal from rocks at the bottom of the cliff by using inflatable rescue paths, animal rescue gear and rescue lines. The cow was then handed back to the farmer with only minimal injuries.
