Police seized what they say was a ’large number’ of cannabis plants in a raid on a pub in Newquay yesterday.

Newquay police, supported by officers from the Force Support Group and the police dog section, searched a licensed premises in Bank Street, and seized the plants along with equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis. A large amount of cash was also seized.

Two men from Newquay, aged 44 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs. Both men were released on police bail to return to Newquay police station on July 14.
