Firefighters tackled a fire in the first-floor bedroom of a property near Par on Wednesday evening.

Crews from Lostwithiel, Fowey and St Austell used breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a safety jet to put out the fire. 

A crew using breathing apparatus went into an adjacent property to ensure the fire had not spread.

The cause was accidental, said the fire and rescue service.
