Arsonists are believed to have set cars on fire in Liskeard early yesterday.

One crew from Liskeard community fire station was called to the scene of a reported vehicle fire in Wrey Avenue shortly after 4am.

But on arrival two vehicles were reported well alight.

Two breathing apparatus and two hosereels were used to put out the fires.

The cause is arson suspected and Devon and Cornwall Police have been notified.
