Neighbours called 999 after smelling smoke and hearing alarms sounding at Tavern Barn, Fowey on Saturday afternoon (February 4).
Fire service crews from Fowey and Polruan found the premises smokelogged. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property with a high pressure hosereel jet and found a fault with an oil fired appliance. Crews isolated the supply, removed the appliance from the property and allowed it to ventilate naturally.
