MORE than 1,500 properties across Cornwall, mainly in the north and west of the county around Sennen and Morwenstow, were still without power this morning, according to Western Power.
Thousands of properties were hit by power cuts at the peak of Storm Imogen yesterday. Areas around North Hill, Upton Cross and Coads Green, which had been without power for several hours during the day, were hit by another cut last evening. Power was restored within an hour.
Engineers are still at work on the faulty lines.
Main line rail services are back to normal after yesterday’s severe delays. The Liskeard to Looe rail line was again affected by flooding this morning, though services have now resumed. Network Rail have warned passengers to expect some delays while services get back to normal.
In West Cornwall, the search for missing RSPCA Inspector Mike Reid goes on. He was last seen in the Porthchapel area on Sunday afternoon.
