Today, more than 80 cyclists are taking on the gruelling Devon and Cornwall Police Cycle Challenge riding from Exeter to Land’s End in just one day.

The cyclists are riding to support their colleague Kelly Stabb who was diagnosed with bowel cancer last year and is campaigning for the charity Bowel Cancer West.

The cyclists have already raised over £2,500 towards Kelly’s appeal and aim to raise £10,000 in total.

The event organiser said: ‘Kelly has an overwhelming feeling to give something back to those who are researching and developing the cancer treatment that is saving her life.

‘Bowel Cancer West have been an incredible support to Kelly and we want to raise as much money as possible in order to help them support Kelly and others.’
