SIR Robert Geffery's junior school at Landrake held its 33rd cross-country run with the popular event attracting 555 children from 35 primary schools.
The sun shone as the youngsters tackled the 2.3-mile course which goes across a variety of fields, through woods, and across a tidal salt marsh by the River Lynher.
The overall winner was Siam Juntakereket from St Petroc's School, Bodmin, with Harry Gravener of St Martin's, Liskeard, coming in second, and Jacke Donne, of Carbeile Juniors, Torpoint, in third.
The first three girls were: Charlotte Hicks, Upton Cross; Chloe Pettitt, St Stephens, St Austell, and Tilly McDowell, Gunnislake.
St Petroc's School won both the boys' and girls' team prizes.
The race was organised by Helen Ralph, who runs the cross-country club at Sir Robert Geffery's school.
