A TEAM of under-14 footballers from Saltash.net Community School are celebrating after beating their Hayle counterparts, 3-1, in the Cornwall Cup

final at St Blazey.

The Saltash side had already been crowned the East Cornwall champions, to set up a showdown against West winners Hayle School.

It took two very good first-half saves from Ashley Kane to keep Hayle from scoring but, gradually, Saltash got to grips with the game and, after a good passing move, George Soper opened the scoring for the East Cornwall team.
