PLYMOUTH Albion maintained their perfect record in National League One with a 54-40 win at Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday.
Ryan Lamb’s side notched up their eighth league win of the campaign – establishing a four-point cushion over Tonbridge Juddians following their success at Hadham Road.
First half tries from Huw Taylor, Dan Pullinger, Jake Clemson, Harry Wilkinson and Archie Hill – all of which were converted by Iwan Jenkins – gave them a 35-12 lead at the turn.
After the break, Sam Daly, Rhys Williams and Wilkinson added further scores, two of which were converted.
Post-game, Lamb said: “Fantastic to come away with five points because we know Bishop’s Stortford are a very good team.
“There are definitely things for us to work on going into next week. I thought the players produced some brilliant rugby at times, but we also let our intensity drop in certain periods. Fair play to Bishop’s Stortford, they took advantage of those moments and scored some good tries.”
