THE 2014 Cornwall County Intermediate Championships were held at the Penzance pool, and the 21-strong squad representing Caradon were in tremendous form, winning 16 gold medals, nine silver and ten bronze.

To go with the clutch of medals, 52 personal-best times were achieved.

Leading the way was Georgia Pengelly in the girls' 14 years age group.

She won five golds – in the 200m individual medley with a personal best of 3.04.60; 100m backstroke with another personal best time of 1.28.28; 100m butterfly; 200m freestyle and the 100m freestyle.
