LISKEARD-Looe confirmed their champions status with this victory and ensured promotion back to the Cornwall and Devon League.

The first 40 minutes saw both teams trying to gain supremacy on a wet and sticky pitch, with neither being able to do so and making lots of mistakes in the process.

Two injuries forced the Lions to make changes, with centre Mark Moody and prop Mike Mander going off for treatment.

After both teams were reduced to 14 players, following a yellow card for Lisk-eard-Looe and a red for Helston, a catch-and-drive line-out was finished off

by replacement prop Phil Morford to make it 5-0 at the interval.
