CALLINGTON opened their Jolly's Drinks Cornwall Cricket League Premier Division campaign with a high-scoring draw against their visitors from the far west of the county, Paul.

With homesick Yasser Cook returning to his native South Africa, skipper Matt Robins opened with in-form Jake Libby.

Despite surviving a couple of chances, the pair put on exactly 100 for the first wicket in 20 overs before Robins was caught at mid-on by Martin Oates off Tony Riggall.

Libby went on to make 63 including seven fours before he missed another Riggall delivery.

Sam Higgins was on ten when bowled by Kiwi Henry Westenra, but then Joe White and Andy Libby added 69 for the fourth wicket, White making 25.
