Ten East Cornwall Harriers braved the weather and the long drive to Penzance to compete in the Race for Wildlife.
Conditions were wet underfoot but not too slippery on the new 7.5-mile course, which had been lengthened to allow a thinning out of runners before the first corner, making PBs difficult to achieve.
The journey proved well worthwhile for the Harriers. The ladies team of Revis Crowle, Jen Nash, Ann Quarmby and Ally Martin came home in top spot – the second time in two weeks that they have triumphed.
Altogether the 10 athletes came away with eight individual trophies as well as the ladies’ team prize.
