Jack Stephens’ Torpoint-based family will be on their way to Wembley today, hoping to watch him play for Southampton in the EFL Cup final against Manchester United.
Dad Paul, mum Philippa, daughter Emily, grandparents Barrie and Di, and uncle Ian, auntie Denise and cousins Maisy and Harry, will be at the national stadium for the showpiece.
Jack, 23, is in the Saints squad to face United, having made several senior appearances since the turn of the year, mainly in central defence.
Paul said: ‘We’re all excited about the day and obviously hoping Jack gets to play.’
Jack, a product of the Plymouth Argyle youth set-up, moved from Home Park to Southampton in April 2011 for £150,000.
He has made a handful of appearances for England Under 21s.
