Bodmin Town’s East Cornwall Premier League team have claimed that the club has banned them from playing on their own pitch at Priory Park.

Saturday’s division one home fixture against Looe Town had to be switched to Wadebridge Town’s Bodieve Park - the third ’home’ fixture this month that has been played elsewhere.

Problems within the club appear to have come to a head on April 5 when a second team match was postponed despite several days of relatively dry weather.

The decision to postpone the fixture surprised some second team players so much that they went down to Priory Park and took pictures of what looked a bone dry playing surface, and posted some on social media.

The ECPL team have told the Cornish Times they were accused by the club’s hierarchy of trespassing, and since then there have been no second team games at the ground.

The Cornish Times tried to contact Bodmin Town for a comment but has yet to receive a response.
