Plymouth Argyle announced on Tuesday afternoon that Home Park will host the city’s only mass screening of England’s World Cup semi-final against Croatia on Wednesday night.

Argyle have teamed up with Plymouth City Council to provide a public venue for the game to be broadcast.

And Callington-based Ginsters are also supporting the event – they are providing pasties for the 500 arrivals at Home Park.

The club said on its website: ‘Two big screens will be erected so that families and friends can enjoy the occasion together.

‘Entry will be free of charge and should England be victorious, the event will be repeated for the final on Sunday.’

The game kicks off at 7pm; gates will open from 5.30pm. Several blocks of the Lyndhurst stand will be open, and tickets are strictly limited. Seating will be unreserved.

Tickets are available from the Argyle Ticket Office on 01752 907700; from www.eticketing.co.uk/pafc; or in person at Home Park.

The club said: ‘Tickets will be available on the gate if they remain. Fans are advised to book in advance to avoid queuing, delays and disappointment.

‘Refreshments will be available from kiosks inside the stadium. Supporters will be allowed to take their beverages to their seats during the game.’
