LOOE Town's under-14s overcame their Charlestown counterparts, 3-2, at the Looe Sports Field on Sunday to book their place in the semi-finals of this season's Tesco Cup, but they needed extra-time to do so.

The visitors got off to a storming start and went two goals in front to put Town – who reached the final of this competition last year – on the ropes.

But Looe, buoyed by the cheers of the home supporters, began to play the type football they have produced all season and were rewarded with a goal right on half-time by defender Tommy Davies.

The second period started with hosts playing more attacking football and, after a great move, captain Billy Palfrey scored a great goal to bring the teams level.

With the scoreline at 2-2, Keiran Faulkner settled the tie in extra-time with a fine individual goal to put his side in the last four for the second year running.
