Cornwall Invitational Premier Snooker League

THE new Cornwall Invitational Premier Snooker League season has seen an increase in players, from six in each section last year to eight in the Eastern division and seven in the Western.

The structure has slightly changed this year; each match consists of six frames, with three points awarded for a win, a point for a draw and none for a loss.

The champion of the East section plays the West winner in the grand final.

In the Eastern, newcomer Tony Farrant (St Dominick) got off to a great start with a 5-1 success over Andrew Best (Bugle WMC), thanks to breaks of 62, 51 and 41.

Darran Lock (Lostwithiel) also claimed a 5-1 victory, over Ryan Bilson (Tregonissey), aided by breaks of 46 and 31.
