After a crushing 12-1 victory away to Tavistock in their first game of the season, Caradon Men entertained Truro C last Saturday at Lux Park.

With a good mix of experience and youth, Caradon set off at pace and were soon troubling the Truro defence. The quick stick of Tyler Walsh was too much for the Truro back line who soon started to leak short corners. Caradon's first goal came from a scrappy ball into the D which eluded all but Finn Andrews, who was left with a waist-high tap in.

The half continued to be all Caradon, but for a failed Truro short corner. Caradon seemed to have time, playing the ball around the back and testing both flanks but could not add to their half time lead of 1-0.

The second half saw a much more clinical Caradon with Walsh rounding the keeper for a tap in, which he replicated 10 minutes later for a 3-0 lead. The fourth goal caused some controversy as Andrews' shot was deflected in on the goal line by a Truro foot. Truro claimed a short corner but the umpire was well positioned to rule correctly and award the goal.

With time, and the Truro defence's patience running out, Caradon added a final nail in the coffin as Leon Farrow put away the easiest of short corners. Caradon's dummy to attack the right post was bought by all the Truro defence and keeper, leaving Farrow the left side to pick his spot and give Caradon a 5-0 win.
