EAST Cornwall skier Eva Pascoe has enjoyed further success in nationwide competitions.

Eva, who represents Plymouth Snowsport Club and trains at the JNL Ski and Snowboard Centre

in Plymouth, appeared in the Cornish Times last month (September 6), when she finished second

in the under-12 category at the 38th All-England Artificial Slope Championships in Gloucester.

Following on from that success, she made the journey to Pontypool to take part in the Welsh National Championships.

The competition was set, with two challenging courses making the very most of the varying terrain at Torfaen Ski Centre.

The format saw ladies and men completing a single run through two separate courses, with the combined time providing the ranking for the day.

Competing in the under-ten/12 Juniors category, Eva approached her first run through the first course very cautiously, with her time of 26.68 seconds placing her third going into the second

run – 1.4 seconds off the leader.
