THE Whitsand Bay pairing of Trevor Stevens and Michael Richards repeated their success at Trevose back in December by claiming the Amateur prize in the latest Cornwall Professional Golfers' Alliance meeting at the same venue.

An entry of 108 members took to the fairways in glorious sunshine with little wind, and some great scores were returned in perfect golfing conditions. Grant Slater used home advantage to card a two-under-par round and take the Individual Professional honours, with Paul Turpin (Carlyon Bay) returning level par for second spot.

Slater also won the Professional award in the December meeting.

Meanwhile, the Team Professional trophy was claimed by China Fleet's Simon Wood, who saw off a strong challenge from Turpin and fellow China Fleet player Dominic Rehaag.
