Caradon Swimming Club staged their first Masters & Seniors (18-24) Open meet on Saturday at Saltash Leisure Centre.

The event attracted swimmers from local clubs as well as from Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire and Wales.

The three sessions saw some strong competition with Devonport leading the way and winning the Top Visiting Club trophy as well as David Manning sharing the top male swimmer with Peter Stephens from Truro City. Rebekah James, also from Devonport, collected the top female swimmer.

Chris Elliott, who has been associated with Caradon SC for circa 30 years and is the South West Region ASA president, presented the awards. Thanks go to the support from Saltash Town Council, RG Pools & Leisure and Tempus Leisure who enabled this event to be a great success – hopefully it will be an annual event.
