AFTER three disappointing results in the space of five days, Callington bounced back with a hard-fought Cornwall Cricket League victory at Camborne, showing plenty of determination following a shaky start.
Batting first in sunny conditions, Callington lost skipper Matt Robins when an inside edge trickled onto the stumps, just dislodging a single ball.
Robins' brother, Adrian had the other opening berth, and he was putting bat to ball. However, the visitors' plight deteriorated when Dan Davis nicked one to keeper Liam Weeks off Jeff Cavelly for just two.
With the best two batsmen back in the hutch, the others had to stand up and be counted, but wickets continued to fall and, after 23 overs, Callington were reduced to 71 for five.
