Clive Roseveare Hawkey Cup
semi-final
St Austell v. Callington
CALLINGTON squeezed into the Hawkey Cup final courtesy of this thrilling last-ball victory at Wheal Eliza on Tuesday night.
After electing to bat first, St Austell had put 20 on the board when James Carter was bowled by Aidan Libby in the fifth over.
Matt Ellison fell cheaply to a sharp Joe White stumping off Matt Robins, and then Andrew Libby bowled his former team-mate, County man Taylor Williams, for 16.
The Callington bowlers can take great credit, as Aidan Libby bowled his four overs for just ten runs, and the two spinners kept the score down to 70 for
six after 17 overs.
