THE Cornwall Clubs' Cup final was effectively over after ten minutes, by which time Saltash were 15-0 to the good following tries from fly-half Joe Skinnard and wing James Moriarty.

For good measure, a penalty and conversion were kicked by full-back Max Venables.

The dry conditions were perfect for the East Cornwall side's open brand of running rugby.

So well suited, in fact, that further first-half tries followed through Venables and centre Rich Skinnard, with Venables adding the conversions for a 29-0 half-time lead.

It was more of the same in the second half, with the Cornwall One champions sensing they were about to make history with a League and cup double.
