A talented footballer from South East Cornwall this week signed for Torquay United as an apprentice after turning 16.

James Washburn, a student at saltash.net community school, has been offered a two-year contract at the club and will relocate to Torquay when he leaves school this year. He is one of five teenagers to be offered an apprenticeship with the club.
