St Cleer entertained Kitto Kestrels YMCA in DJM U-14 Grenville and gained their first win of the season. Saints made a good start when Baz Hocking, making his League debut, put Martyn Hake in to score. Kitto equalised with a superb shot which gave Robin Brown no chance. St Cleer's Chris Hanson had a shot blocked by the 'keeper and Hake latched onto the rebound but the keeper denied him with an outstanding double save.

On the restart Kitto scored and put St Cleer under pressure but from a corner by Dan Ball, a Kitto defender conceded an own goal making it 2-2.

A fine lopping header from Kitto looked a goal all the way until Robin Brown made a tremendous save. Hanson picked up a loose ball in the area and scored what proved the winner.

In defence James Brown was awarded man of the match by both managers. The fast improving Neil Davey made some excellent tackles as did Steven Tapper and Hocking in midfield.
