Armistice Day was marked in South East Cornwall yesterday as local people observed a two-minute silence to remember members of the armed forces who have sacrificed their lives for their country.
November 11 marks the armistice signed between the Allies and Germany at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 to bring World War I to an end.
