Volunteers worked in blustery weather to bring a burst of summer colour to a Rame Peninsula village.
Working to a colour scheme of blues and yellows, the Village Enhancement Team (VETs) planted dwarf sunflowers, cornflowers, and other seasonal blooms in the many beds and boat planters around Millbrook.
‘The majority of the plants were grown from seed by Barbara Buckley and Neil Rugg, who have been nursing hundreds of plants for weeks, so a very big thank you to them,’ said a VETs spokesperson.
‘As the volunteers worked, there was much cheerful conversation and support from passers-by but the highlight was the delivery of piping hot Cornish pasties hand made by the CornishPod company.’
