Callington Town 0 Foxhole Stars 3 Former Callington Town star Chris Truscott had a remarkable two minutes of action against his former club on Saturday. Now with Foxhole, the veteran striker followed up his two-goal haul in August's 5-1 victory by grabbing a first-minute opener to send the visitors on their way to a comfortable victory. Within a minute he was back on the bench after Foxhole goalkeeper Dave Philp was red carded for handling the ball outside the penalty area. Philp was replaced by substitute goalkeeper Nick Carpenter, leaving a surprised Truscott to trudge off the Ginster Marshfield Parc pitch. Despite this piece of good fortune, Callington were unable to make inroads against the visitors 10 men and Garfield Ewing's charges had no answer to Foxhole's Darren Roose, the architect of this defeat. Callington tried manfully to get back into the game until Richard Griffin stunned the home crowd to increase Foxhole's lead after the break and when Roose set up Jamie Bullock for the visitors third, the game was over as a contest. 'We were dreadful,' said the Callies manager. 'I don't think we had a shot on target all game.'

Biscovey 2 Torpoint Athletic 2 It was no surprise that the league's bottom two staged an entertaining match at Par Stadium in which honours ended even, as Biscovey picked up their first point of the season at the 11th attempt. How the first half finished goalless is anyone's guess, as chances came and went at a regular rate. Biscovey just about shaved the first half and Torpoint manager Mark Pacey took the bold step to take both his strikers off at half time. The second half started with a flourish with Simon Johnson netting two quick goals for Biscovey, both due to defensive errors. A weak punch by the goalkeeper ended with Johnson getting his first. And when Johnson intercepted a weak Alex Naylor back pass to score his second and an Andrew Butler effort hit the crossbar, a Biscovey first league win of the season looked on the cards. Torpoint's persistence finally paid off when John Sebbar picked himself up off the floor after being fouled by Dale Isbell to convert the spot kick. With time running out, Torpoint's Tom Crossfield took advantage of a defensive error to fire home the equaliser. Even then Nick Isbell for Biscovey and Torpoint's Danny Thomas contrived to miss golden opportunities to win the match.

St Cleer 1 St Dennis 4 St Cleer's nightmare season continues after their 10th defeat of the season keeps them in the bottom four. A severely depleted Saints even had two of their team, including goalkeeper Mike Roberts, continuing the match as walking wounded, while Dave Wade had to hobble off. The game was virtually over within the first six minutes, when St Dennis raced into a two-goal lead through Derek Truscott and Paul Crocker strikes. St Cleer went further behind on the half hour when Paul Osborne scored. The injury-hit Saints then lost Wade, but to their credit they continued to battle. St Cleer actually came back into the game after the break and a good move involving Lee Collins and Antony Bough saw Leighton Mitchell reduce the arrears. Unfortunately the pressure was too great and St Dennis had the final say, with a strike from exciting young attacker Carl Rickard. 'I thought we did well to fight back in the second half,' said Saints manager Harold Gubbin. 'We just need to get a fully fit squad so that we can show what we really can do.'
