PUPILS at Saltash Community School had the opportunity to bump up their maths knowledge and problem solving when the author of the best-selling 'Murderous Maths' series visited the school. Kjartan Poskitt performed to the whole of Year 7 (over 250 pupils) for an hour, holding them spell-bound and fascinated. Kjartan travels the country bringing his unique approach to Maths to wide and varied audiences. The hour long show highlighted his quirky sense of humour and featured tricks, codes, 'flexagons' and an array of maths games offering varied and exciting means of tackling many people's least favourite school subject. As a follow-up to the show, all Year 7 pupils now have the chance to enter a competition to win a signed copy of one of Kjartan's puzzle books.
