Top teams and the best fans in the country will win the day . . .

It's going to be a winning combination taking to the road on Saturday - a top team and as the county's rugby players all agree, ' the best fans in the country'.

A Cornish convoy of buses, mini buses and cars packed full of thousands of rugby fans will be heading over the Tamar from the early hours of tomorrow morning, following the 'yellow brick road' towards Twickenham, as Cornwall plays for the Tetley Bitter County title for the second year in succession.

And this year, the County Under 21's have also made their final, making it a double bill for Cornwall.

The CRFU closed the ticket office at Camborne on Tuesday having sold 10,000 tickets in just a few days, and thousands more will be sold on the gate at Twickenham, where officials will once more smile in disbelief at the Trelawny singing, black and gold army.

They will happily tell you that there is no county final to compare with a Cornwall final, and they love it when the Cornish are in.

They will half heartedly attempt to keep the traditional procession of the large Cornish pasty off the pitch, and as usual will give up when the booing and shouts of "Oggie Oggie" start.

No other county in England has such overwhelming support for rugby which the Cornish squad enjoys, which only adds to the pride of pulling on that shirt.

The Liskeard/Looe RFC 75 seater coach was sold out within hours of the team qualifying for the final. Hundreds will be going from other towns, including Callington where fans will cheer on local boy Dean Shipton

Good luck to Dean Shipton, Geoff Arnold, and their teams. Bring home the silverware to Cornwall tomorrow.
