TOLLS will be suspended on the Tamar Bridge and on the Torpoint Ferry on Christmas Day.

There will be the following changes to the ferry schedule:

Christmas Eve – Normal weekday service until 8pm, then a half-hourly service

Christmas Day – Half-hourly service

Boxing Day – Service every 15 minutes between 6.30am and 9.30pm, then half-hourly

Sunday, December 27 – Every 15 minutes between 6.30am and 9.30pm, then half-hourly

Bank holiday Monday – Service every 15 minutes between 6.30am and 10am; service every 10 minutes between 10am and 6.30pm; service every 15 minutes between 6.30pm and 9.30pm. Then a half-hourly service

New Year’s Eve – Normal weekday service

New Year’s Day – Service every 15 minutes between 6.30am and 9.30pm, then half-hourly

The Torpoint Ferry night service for Christmas and New Year will run as normal (ie a half-hourly service on the hour and half hour from Torpoint, and at quarter to and quarter past the hour from Devonport).

Buses being laid on for the Boxing Day sales in Plymouth will benefit Saltash residents wishing to cross the Tamar. Operator Stagecoach will be running limited services between 8.30am and 6.30pm including a half-hourly service on the 2/2A route between Saltash, Plymouth City Centre and Mount Batten.
