Former pupils of Looe Community School, who were among the first intake on its change-over to comprehensive status, are being invited to a reunion in April. The event is being held on Saturday, April 26, and is open to pupils who attended the school between 1978, the first year it went comprehensive, and who left 25 years ago in 1983. One of the organisers is Michelle Taylor, who her former colleagues would know better as Michelle Trethowan. She is asking anyone interested in attending to call her on 01726 73150 or to email reunion2008 @hotmail.co.uk for more information. She explained that the reunion is open to both staff and pupils, and will take the form of an afternoon get together at the school from 2pm for the pupils. At 7.30pm they will gather again at the Admiral Boscarn pub where they can be accompanied by partners etc. 'We would love to hear from anyone who was at the school between those years and we're on the look- out for photographs from that time which we can display,' said Michelle.
