Students from South East Cornwall took their large-scale lantern sculpture to Truro’s City of Lights Parade.
The youngsters in Year 7 at saltash.net community school were asked to create a lantern on a theme of Remembrance. Their design shows a figure of a grandfather who had fought in the First World War holding his grandchild’s hand.
Around 30,000 people turned out to watch the lantern procession through Cornwall’s capital.
