A South East Cornish student has experienced the thrill of performing in front of 75,000 people as part of Gareth Malone’s Military Wives Choir.
Monet Hylands-Hughes, from St Ann’s Chapel, is the youngest member of the famous group at 23.
She is an FdA Children’s and Young People’s Workforce student at Duchy College, Stoke Climsland.
Monet, who also studied at a performing arts school in London, had a grandfather in the Navy and, after reading a book about the military choir, set about joining four years ago.
She said: ‘The experience has changed my life.
‘I have had experiences I would never otherwise have had.’
