Poldark might be drawing to a close but there is still time to go and see ‘Estah’s Story’ at Heartlands in Pool.
A sky-high spectacle of aerial performances tells the story of the Cornish ‘Bal maiden Estah with an emotionally-stirring journey through the reality of the Cornish mining times in the 1800s.
Extensively researched and based on historical figures, the performance combines metaphor, vertical dance, stunning visuals, musical score and human voice. Estah is a Cornish Bal maiden, leading the audience into her world, her life at the tin mine and into her dreams, both realised and lost.
Songs are performed by the community choirs who provide the beautiful background music, led by Hilary Coleman and Claire Ingleheart.
The last performances will be this Friday. The first at 6.30pm is ideal for families with younger children, with the second for general audiences from 8.30pm.
