THE Eden Project will once again be hosting a ‘Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile’ on Sunday, March 20.

Eden will be welcoming participants of all ages and abilities to dress up and run, skip or walk over a choice of one, three or six miles for charity.

The enthusiastic ‘milers’ will be doing their bit to make a difference to people living across the UK and the world’s poorest communities.

Event organiser Daniel Barrott said: ‘It’s a privilege to once again host The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile here at Eden. This year our route takes participants through the spectacular outdoor gardens of the project.

‘It’s a pleasure to welcome milers of all ages and abilities, from little ones to those who push themselves for fast lap times. There’s something for everyone to make themselves feel proud on this special day for such an important event.’

The Eden Mile will start at 2pm and there will be free entry to Eden for friends and family of participants after midday on the day of the event. All participants must check in at the Gallery in Eden’s Visitor Centre an hour before the event starts. To register for the event visit www.sportrelief.com.

There will be a limit for on-the-day registrations, so it is not guaranteed that anyone who does not pre-register will be able to participate.

Sport Relief will take place from Friday to Sunday, March 18 to 20, and aims to bring the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives. People can run, swim, cycle or even walk at events across the country.

The money raised by the public will be spent by Comic Relief across the UK and in the world’s poorest communities.
