PAUL Greenwood has been extraordinarily busy these past two years.

Ever since he stood on the Banjo Pier at East Looe and waved 'au revoir' to the French crews who thrilled the crowds at the 20th anniversary regatta of Cornish Lugger Association in 2009, he has been planning for the next get-together of these traditional, wooden-built fishing-come-sailing boats, some of which are now 100 years old.

It might be a biennial regatta, but there is always plenty to do, from contacting skippers to arranging insurance and refreshments and, most importantly, making sure the harbourmaster is onside!

More on this in this week's Cornish Times.
