Division One
Last weeks' skittling proved very eventful at making headlines as Roger Terry of Hits and Misses equalled the men's top score with his 95 pins. But that was to be short-lived as in the division one game at Pensilva the Rebels entertained the Edwardians where in a thrilling close game Roger's sporting rival Gerry Edwards (Edwardians) put up a good display and accounted for 96 pins!
But in the game which Edwardians won by four points to two Rebels Bill Batten came very close to beating that with his 91 pins.
What a night at the Barley Sheaf last Wednesday, where the Barley Oats who have struggled for points all season, took on the highest pinfall so far - Londoners. In a game where no less than 30 spares were claimed Londoners scored a massive 298 pins in their first half, but the girls came back with 281. Could both teams keep that up?
Yes they did as Londoners repeated their first half total, but those Barley Oats managed a massive 307 pins in their second half totalling 588 pins. Alison Cox accounted for 90 pins and now hold the highest ladies score in league and competition games. However, Londoners with three players scoring in the 80's were more than happy with their 596 pins total and four points. A night to remember!
Holding on to top spot the Hits and Misses were so close to scoring a maximum win in their home game with Misfits. With a 39 pins first half advantage Hits just failed by two pins in the second half as Misfits rescued two points.
Jets are back up to third place. After trailing Cast-Offs by six pins they improved to come out best with an eight pin majority and a 4-2 point win. Hotshots visited Callington, but made a bad start as they trailed by 52 pins after the first four legs. Following a talk by captain Austin Trevail they improved greatly to rescue two much needed points. Credit though to the home side with Andrew Snowden's 81 pins, they sit comfortably in second spot.

Division Two
With all six points added to their total this puts the Sandpipers up to fifth place in Division Two as they got the better of the Seccombes at Millendreath, where Terry Powell's 81 pins played a big contribution.
Ditchers stay in a commanding position having completed half of their league fixtures, ending up with a 4-2 win at home over the Marketeers, but it was a close finish with just seven pins separating the two old rival teams.
The Crickets are not far behind the leaders as at half time in their away game versus Oddballs they held a resounding 59 pins lead but the home side were the improved eight to collect two of the six points at stake.

Division Three
In an end of Division Three first half fixtures the game at Bodmin SWEB Club saw visiting Madhatters get the better of the Nomads, winning both halves comfortably and adding six more points to their total. Looking at the score sheet the home side of eight were well below par accounting for only a low 427 pins, probably due to the bean dinner prior to the game!
The Growlers were unable to match the Hobos at Hessenford, who, with their six points stay in touch with the leaders, whereas the Growlers, who were a trifle unlucky in the first half stay in an unhappy position near the bottom.
The Tri-Ards hold on to seventh place as from their game with Clementines they held a commanding lead after four legs, but allowed the visitors to collect two second half points with a spirited come back.
Four to two points was the final score result at Pensilva where the Hilltops entertained the lowly placed Demons who showed a much improved performance than of later, winning the first half by nine pins, but showed the Hilltops knocking over more pins in the second four legs.
Another four to two points end result went in the Foxes favour in their visit to the Rally team at Lanreath but what a close finish as just four pins was the difference in total pin falls of the two teams.

Division Four
Six very useful Division Four points came the Line Dancers way as they got the better of exchanges in both halves in a home game versus the Flyers. Flyers must have felt a little disappointed in their team effort.
Just one pin separated the Ramblers and the Ladybirds at the half way stage at Linkinhorne in the Ramblers favour. But Ramblers went on to increase their margin winning by 14 pins overall and six valuable points which lifts them off the bottom rung.
At the Barley Sheaf the Thrashers held a 37 pins first half lead over the Socialites from Callington, but the scoring was reversed in the final four legs, however, the home side held only six pins resulting in a four to two point win and a fifth spot in the table for them.
