Last weekend 16 pairs won through to the finals of the CCSMBA County Pairs at the Dragon Leisure Centre, Bodmin. 57 pairs competed over the two days for the finals places on offer with each pair playing three games.

The qualifers for the finals on Sunday 16th April are: Don & Margaret Falck (Marazion), Derek Swaby & Derek Stokes (Wadebridge), Darran Woolner & Sue Ashton (Saltash), Steve Wilkins & Brenda Sleep (Dobwalls), Pat Lawrence & Kath Goodman (Treviscoe), Viv Cornish & Bill Merrilees (Camelford), Nigel Brent & Dave Budge (Coads Green), Carol & Paul Cummins (Liskeard), George & Pauline Welsh (Marazion), Sandra Brown & Ken Banfield (Helston), Carol & Graham Ford (St Newlyn East), Ken & Sue Griffiths (St Ives), Jim Watson & Pat Sykes (St Stephen), Brian Lake & Frank Dyer (Coads Green), Norman & Joyce Ward (Luxulyan), Tony Beecroft & David Dyson (St Newlyn East)

This weekend seven bowlers will be missing the County Singles competition to represent Cornwall in the National Championships at Kettering.

The bowlers playing will be Singles Percy Tripp (Helston); Pairs Roy Christophers & Percy Tripp (Helston); Triples Paul Spencer (St Minver), Viv Cornish (Camelford) & Alan

Rathbone (St Minver); Fours Ken Banfield, Roy Christophers, Sandra Brown & Percy Tripp (Heslton).

Locally around 80 bowlers will play over the two days for the 16 places in next weekends finals.
