A former Torpoint Community College student has graduated from the RAF. Shane Rutherford (24) graduated at RAF Cranwell, Lincolnshire on August 16 as a flying officer. He joined the RAF aged 16 and trained in air traffic control. He will now take up three years training at Cranwell to become a navigator (weapons systems officer). Shane was given a special award on graduation day for being the cadet who has contributed most to sport.
