PHOTOGRAPHS depicting the ‘Hidden Treasures’ of the Tamar Valley will go on display tomorrow (Wednesday, December 2).

More than 60 images taken by local people will form part of an exhibition at the Tamar Valley Centre, near Gunnislake, until Friday, December 11.

‘As part of this year’s celebrations to mark 20 years since the Tamar Valley was designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), local residents were invited to sumbit photographs of their favourite spots,’ said an AONB spokesperson.

‘The exhibition will showcase the many hidden treasures this landscape has to offer, and celebrate the variety of the landscape within this, the youngest of AONBs in England and Wales.’

The photographer judged to have taken the best image will be announced on December 11 and will win a Cornish Welcome Tour – but those attending the exhibition are also welcome to bring along their own photographs to display, says the Helping Hands for Heritage team.

The Hidden Treasures exhibition will be open on Mondays to Fridays between 11am and 4pm.
