A PRIMARY school is inviting former pupils and teachers to attend their 100 year old celebration events. Callington Primary will be 100 years old on May 4 and to celebrate, the school is planning to put on a number of events including plays, exhibitions and displays. During the school day, there will be performances from the children representing changes that have taken place over the past 100 years and visitors will be invited to visit classrooms where children will be working on themes linked to different decades since 1908. Organisers of the event are asking former pupils and teachers to donate photographs of the school, school events and any other school-related pictures to an exhibition dedicated to Callington Primary. The exhibition will run from Monday, April 28 until Friday, May 2 and if you have any photographs you can take them into the school reception. The school would like anyone who wishes to attend the events to contact Louise Barrington at the school office on 01579 282233, so they can get an idea on numbers before any firm arrangements are made.
