Typical Bank Holiday weather failed to dampen the spirits of Looe Sailing Club members as a fresh south-westerly wind made for some exciting racing.

Despite not being happy with his new

sails, Peter Kinver, with Jack Pope on the wire, still had enough in his tank to romp home to victory in the Redwing class. Patriarch of the Club Colin Crabb, with ex-Mirror helm Adam Hayler crewing, tactically ran out of ideas over the two-mile course and settled for second place.
