YOUNG scientists at a primary school teamed up with older pupils for three days of rocket-fuelled learning. Liskeard School and Community College hosted the Launch Festival, which allowed pupils from Liskeard Junior School to build and design their own rockets. Pupils investigated how to finance the mission before designing a rocket which could launch an egg into the air and bring it back to the ground safely. The youngsters then had to present their findings to other members of their year group. The festival follows on from a number of events which took place during the summer at the specialist engineering-status school.
