WE have saved the Primrose Ward... Yippee! Many thanks to all of you for your support and help over the past few months. You should all feel very pleased that you took the time to put pen to paper and signed the petition, or wrote to me. We all helped the Derriford Hospital management to rethink the original plan and come up with another and better option. Public opinion when presented as one united campaign obviously does count and I thank you so much for your belief in our campaign, it was beyond my wildest expectations. In the end I think we must have collected more than 7,000 names. We can now look forward to the new Primrose Ward opening in the New Year and hope it goes forward and helps all who need the support and care the dedicated staff provide. Many thanks to everyone, the WIs, our Colin Breed MP, Caradon District Council and all who cared enough.
